Enrolment (new students)

2012 enrolments and admissions are now open and enrolment forms are available for download. The 2012 timetables are available under 'Timetables', where full details of units can be obtained.

New students should download the flyers at the bottom of this page which provide details of the introductory units for the major degrees offered at UFT to students without a background in theology. Further advice for new and prospective students is available on the new student page.

Research students should contact the UFT Dean for an appointment to discuss admission requirements, supervision, and research topics.

All enrolments must be approved by the UFT Dean, Peter Sherlock, who acts as both Coursework Coordinator and Research Coordinator for MCD purposes. New students should normally make an appointment with the Dean for course advice and approval, and to ensure they are in the award or unit which is right for them. Coursework students can apply for admission in either first or second semester each year. Applications for a research higher degree may be made at any time of the year.

Students are welcome to take units at the MCD's other Recognised Teaching Institutions towards their degree or diploma, particularly if the desired units are not available at the UFT. Enrolment for such admission and payment of fees must be made through the UFT office, in addition to fulfilling the requirements of the RTI concerned.

The UFT reserves the right to cancel or vary unit offerings. Every effort will be made to notify students of such cancellations a week before classes commence, and to indicate alternative units that may fulfil student needs should this occur.

The administration at the MCD and the UFT offices take your right to privacy seriously and only use information you provide for the purpose for which it was given.
