1.Last day for withdrawal from units
Monday 5 October 2009 is the final day for withdrawing from second semester units without receiving a Fail mark. If you wish to withdraw from a unit you must submit a Change of Enrolment form (available from www.mcd.edu.au or from the essay submission cabinet at CTM reception) to the UFT by 5pm on Monday 5 October. (During the mid-semester break forms can be left in the essay submission cabinet and will be processed by the office staff while the UFT office is closed.) Students who withdraw from a unit prior to this date will receive a result of ‘W’ (Withdrawn) on their transcripts.

2.CTM kitchen
Students are reminded to keep bench top clean and to pack all used cups into the dishwasher. This is important as ants and mice have begun infesting the CTM complex! If the dishwasher is in the middle of a washing cycle, students in evening classes are asked to give cups a quick rinse and leave them in the sink for loading the next day. Please do not leave lids off containers and be sure to wipe down benches and anything dropped on the floor.

3.UFT Office closure
A reminder that the UFT office will be closed to students during the second week of the mid-semester break (28 September – 2 October), however CTM reception staff will be happy to answer enquiries or take messages during that period.

4. UFT 2009 Reconciliation Lecture
The annual UFT Reconciliation Lecture for 2009 will be delivered on Thursday 1 October 2009 at Wyselaskie Hall at 7.30pm. This will be presented by Graeme Mundine, Executive Secretary, National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ecumenical Commission (NATSIEC) of the National Council of Churches in Australia. RSVP by 25 September to 9340 8800 or email admin@uft.edu.au. Entry by donation, proceeds to Nungalinya College Darwin.

5. UFT Prayer on Thursdays at 1.05pm
Join UFT staff and students for a short reflective service of bible readings and prayer in the CTM chapel this coming Thursday at 1.05pm.
