1. UFT 2009 Reconciliation Lecture
'Are We on the Bus? The place of Indigenous Australians in Church & Society through the eyes of one who is still standing at the bus stop' The annual UFT Reconciliation Lecture for 2009 will be delivered on Thursday 1 October 2009 at Wyselaskie Hall at 7.30pm. This will be presented by Graeme Mundine, Executive Secretary, National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ecumenical Commission (NATSIEC) of the National Council of Churches in Australia.
For catering purposes please RSVP by 28 September to 9340 8890 or email admin@uft.edu.au. Entry by donation, proceeds to Nungalinya College Darwin.
 
 
2. UFT Office Closure & Essay Submission
A reminder that the UFT office will be closed to students during the second week of the mid-semester break (28 September – 2 October).  Essay should be submitted in  the UFT Essay submission box, please ensure to date stamp cover sheet.
 

3. Withdrawal Procedure
Students are reminded that if they are intending to withdraw from a unit this semester, a completed Change of Enrolment form must be received at the UFT office no later than Monday October 5, 2009. Withdrawals received after this date will normally be recorded as a fail.  For further details please refer to pg 15 of the 2009 UFT Handbook, or go to the UFT website http://www.uft.edu.au/content/withdrawal. A Change of Enrolment form is available from the MCD website http://www.mcd.edu.au/formsprospective or can be picked up at the CTM reception area from the UFT submission box.

 
4. DML Library Hours during Semester Break
The DML Library during the semester break (21/9/ to 4/10) will operate from Monday to Friday 9am to 5 pm.
 
 
5. UFT Sem 2 2009 Examination Timetable
The Examination Timetable for Sem 2 2009 will be available on the UFT website under  “Important Links - Timetables” from Monday September 28

 
6. UFT Valedictory Service
Valedictory 2009 will be held at Trinity College Theological School at 3.30pm on Friday 23 October. Students are asked to contact the UFT office if they believe they are eligible to graduate at the MCD Conferral in 2010 and are intending to valedict this year. More details to follow.

8. Witnessing to Christ Today: Edinburgh 2010, Seminar
Friday 2 October, 7.00pm:  Salvation Army Centre, 17-23 Nelson Road, Box Hill.
Saturday 3 October, 9.30-3.30pm:Yarra Theological Union, 98 Albion Road, Box Hill. The International Conference on World Mission, held in Edinburgh in 1910 was a watershed event in modern mission. Much has happened to change the landscape of mission and ecumenism over the last 100 years. As the world prepares for the centenary celebrations to be held in Edinburgh in 2010, Australia is invited to make its own unique contribution. Therefore people from across numerous churches and cultures are gathering for a unique event to celebrate and reflect on Christian mission and ecumenism in the contemporary Australian context.
