2. Public Forum On Recent Social Encyclical
Thursday 19 November at 7.30pm at Wyselaskie Auditorium, Centre for
Theology and Ministry, 1 Morrison Close, Parkville. Archbishop Philip
Freier, Anglican Archbishop of Melbourne, along with Ms Julie Edwards
(CEO, Jesuit Social Services) and Dr Rufus Black (Master of Ormond
College), will offer reflections on Pope Benedict's social encyclical,
Caritas in Veritate. There will be opportunity for questions and
discussion afterwards. A light supper and drinks will be provided.
The forum is jointly sponsored by Social Policy Connections and the
Yarra Institute for Religion and Social Policy. For further

5. Clal - The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership (www.clal.org
) Volunteers needed for December 4th – 9th for the Parliament of World
Religions. Volunteers will interview participants to explain a
practice they engage in that they would like to share with the global
community, the purpose of the practice, how the practice is done, and
how they know the practice works Minimum of 8-10 hours to shoot
short videos – one to two minute clips on flip cameras – of religious
and spiritual leaders presenting spiritual practices. In return,
volunteers will receive entry into the Parliament, as well as a flip
camera to keep, and meals while they are working. For further
