1. Early Bird Registration MCD Centenary Conference 2010
Early bird registrations close this Monday, 31 May. Registrations to join the conference will still be open after Monday but at the full price. Students are most welcome to attend, and there is a special rate available for full-time students. Don’t forget to register online now so you can participate in presentations by distinguished international and national scholars and a dynamic platform to debate and consider ‘The Future of Religion in Australian Society’.   http://www.mcd.edu.au/centenary-conference-registration

2. Exam Timetable
Semester 1 Exam Timetable can now be found on display at the CTM and online at http://www.uft.edu.au/content/timetables  There are three timetables on display at the CTM, one on the UFT noticeboard, one on the TSA noticeboard and one at Reception.

3. Second semester enrolment
Students are welcome to enrol in units for second semester at any time, or to vary their existing second semester enrolment. Please contact the UFT office to discuss your course, or (for existing students) submit a Change of Enrolment form (available from www.mcd.edu.au).  Second semester enrolments will close on 15 July 2010, however all students are expected to finalise their enrolment by the end of June.

4. Spirituality as an Academic Discipline, Carmelite Library Seminar
Two well-known Melbourne teachers and practitioners of Spirituality, Austin Cooper OMI (Lecturer and author in Spirituality and Church History & Head of the Department of Church History, Catholic Theological College) and Michael Smith SJ (Dean of the Institute for Christian Spirituality and Pastoral Formation & Rector of Jesuit Theological College), will deliver papers on the subject of 'Spirituality as an Academic Discipline'.  Tuesday the 8th of June, 7.30 pm refreshments will be provided. Cost: $10 or $5 for concession.  Carmelite Library, 214 Richardson Street, Middle Park. 5. Whitley Research Seminars - Cancellation
Please note that the Research Seminar scheduled on 7th June has been cancelled and will be re-scheduled later in the year. There will still be lectures held in August and October. Monday 23 August, 2:00-3:30 pm, Rev Dr Thorwald Lorenzen, “Human Rights and Theological Anthropology” and Monday 18 October, 2:00-3:30 pm, Rev Chris Turner, “Faith as ontological anxiety in the Australian context: A contextual application of the theology of Paul Tillich”

6. Sacred Heart Mission Pastoral Associate Position
Reporting to the Parish Priest and working closely with the Parish team and Sacred Heart Mission management, the aim of this Pastoral Associate position is to provide spiritual, religious and pastoral support to the SHM community including residents, staff, clients and volunteers.  Applicants seeking either full or part time work should apply.

7. “Stories of Childhood” Conference  Saturday May 29  CTM, Parkville 
This annual state-wide conference for ministers, church leaders, playgroup leaders, Sunday School teachers and anyone involved in serving families with pre-schoolers, will be well worth the journey to the CTM in Parkville. Electives available include “Conversations that communicate care”, “Playdough with a purpose”, “Practical Ideas for Worship with Families with 0-5s”, “Songs, Stretches and Storytelling”, “Making a difference, tools for leadership” and “Play and Playgroup/Pre-school ministries – fun, learning and spirituality”. 8. Christian Management Australia Conference, 31 May to 2 June, Gold Coast.

9. Walter Silvester Memorial Lecture – Convinced and Committed: Lay People Bridging the Church and the World.  This free lecture will held on the 20th of July 2010, 6.30pm at the Christ Lecture Theatre, ACU (Victoria Parade, Fitzroy). Professor Donna Orsuto (Director, Lay Spirituality Centre, Rome, Professor of Spiritual Theology, Gregorian University, Rome) will be discussing ‘Lay People Bridging the Church and the World’.  Refreshments served before the lecture from 6pm – 6.20pm. 10. Keith White visit
The Victorian Children’s Ministry Network invites you to engage with Dr. Keith White – co-founder, current chairperson of the international Child Theology Movement and one of the world’s foremost advocates/teachers working with this particular aspect of theology.
