1. Exam Timetable
Semester 1 Exams are now completed and results will be released from Thursday 8th July.

2. Semester 2 Enrolment close Thursday 15th July 2010
Don’t forget second semester enrolments close Thursday 15th July.  If you need to vary your existing enrolment for second semester please complete the MCD Change of Enrolment form available from www.mcd.edu.au. Students are encouraged to make any changes to their enrolment early to avoid delays. If you are an existing student but did not study in first semester please complete a 2010 MCD Re-enrolment form.  Students can contact the UFT office on 9340 8890 and speak with the receptionist Kim Anderson to arrange an appointment with the dean Peter Sherlock to discuss their course, or can send their enquiry by email to the registrar Margaret Tropea on admin@uft.edu.au.  

The UFT has a mid year intake for new students, if you know of someone who is interested in learning about study options at the UFT or wishing to enrol for second semester please encourage them to contact the UFT office before the end of June for more information.  Flyers providing information and details on second semester units are available from the CTM reception for mid year entry into the BTheol, GradDipTheol and MDiv.  We would be happy to send the 2010 Handbook and information by post on request.

3. MCD & ANZATS Conferences
Melbourne College of Divinity 2010, The Future of Religion in Australian Society,  5 – 7 July 2010, Trinity College, University of Melbourne. The Centenary Conference will be a seminal event in theological reflection in Australia, providing valuable insights for theological and academic institutions in Australia and overseas. A stimulating conference program consisting of presentations by distinguished international and national scholars will provide a dynamic platform for delegates to debate and consider ‘The Future of Religion in Australian Society’.                                                                                                     
The 2010 ANZATS/ANZSTS Conference will explore questions such as: ‘What does it mean to live in the light of the hope that the future is God’s?’,  ‘How shall we speak of the unknown – and the unknowable?’

Both the MCD and ANZATS conferences are being held in conjunction with each other. The MCD has chosen the theme, ‘The Future of Religion in Australian Society’, to engage a wide range of scholars in public dialogue.

The MCD Conference runs from Monday July 5 to Wednesday July 7, while the ANZATS / ANZSTS Conference runs from Wednesday July 7 to Friday July 9, the Wednesday being an ‘overlap’ between the two conferences.

4. MCD Centenary (1910 – 2010) Dinner 
The Melbourne College of Divinity has pleasure in inviting you to join the MCD community, friends and colleagues to attend this special celebration to be held on Sunday 4 July 2010 at Park Hyatt Hotel Ballroom, Melbourne commencing 7.00pm for 7.30pm.
The Melbourne College of Divinity is the second oldest self-regulating Higher Education institution in Victoria, and the sixth oldest in the nation. The MCD has been an international pioneer in ecumenical theological education for 100 years.

5. Postgraduate Research Conference in Theology and Philosophy
This conference will bring together postgraduate students from the various institutions, who are researching in Theology and Philosophy and to encourage them to submit a paper proposal. Although proposals are only being sought from postgraduate students, lecturers and administrators are most welcome to attend the conference.  Held at ACU St Patrick’s Campus, East Melbourne, Monday and Tuesday 27th and 28th September. The closing date for paper proposals is will be Friday 2nd July.

6. God and the Natural Sciences
On Wednesday 23rd of June, Revd Dr Stephen Ames will be speaking on ‘God and the Natural Sciences’ and reflecting on the recent atheist convention and the views of atheist Richard Dawkins.  Dr Stephen Ames is an Honorary Fellow at the University of Melbourne, where he lectures in the History and Philosophy of Science program. Dr Ames is a founding member of Social Policy Connections and is the first chair of the Yarra Institute for Religion and Social Policy.Starting at 8pm at the Yarra Theological Union, 34 Bedford St, Box Hill entry is by donation and tea and coffee will be available.
