9. God Crucified A Future for Jesus?
A forum will take place over two days on June 15-16, 2012. The main venue will be the Centre for Theology and Ministry, 29 College Crescent, Parkville, Victoria.
Call for Papers
Following his groundbreaking reflections on the theology of hope, Jürgen Moltmann took up the cross of Jesus as 'the foundation and criticism of Christian theology' in 1972 in The Crucified God. Forty years on we will seek to explore the future of the crucified God in a two-day workshop on the theological themes tackled by Moltmann in this book. We will consider the continuing implications for church and theology now.

Several major papers will be presented at the conference. In addition, the Conference Planning Committee invites interested scholars, including research students, to submit the title and an abstract (250‐300 words) of a short paper, to craig.thompson@aanet.com.au, by Friday February 24, 2012. Papers may address any theological aspect of the conference theme. Proposals should include: your full name, title, institution, and contact details, the title, aim, and synopsis of the argument

Proposals will be peer‐reviewed by the conference committee, with decisions being made by March 16 2012; later proposals for papers may be accepted, subject to the suitability of the proposals and the availability of space in the program.
